Happy New Year from Okinawa!

Happy (albeit late) New Year! It has been a very busy yet productive start of 2014 for us. We hope the start of your new year has been grand. While out taking pictures on New Year's Day we saw this Shimenawa (sacred straw rope) on the door of a traditional Okinawan home. Actually, they are on a lot of homes here right now. They signify purity and protection (among other things) to get the home ready for the new year. With that thought in mind, may 2014 hold many blessings and good things for you! Now, go seize the moment and make it a good year!
