Life is so busy these days. We push ourselves to accomplish so much, to stay productive and get things done. Does this sound like you? Do you need a vacation? Well, I know a fantastic place you can visit.
Earlier in May, my family visited Savannah, Georgia for the first time. What a great trip with the cobblestone streets, Spanish moss and laid back atmosphere.
We stayed at a loft on River Street and had the best view of the cargo ships and boats on the river. The loft was ideal, as it had the traditional feel of older Savannah with all of the modern conveniences of today. Its balcony looked out over the river and street shops below, and offered a peaceful place to enjoy coffee.
We mostly toured Savannah by walking a lot, but we also took a trolley on a very rainy day. This trolley tour allowed us to stay dry while learning a lot about the different history aspects of the city. Of course, we also captured a lot of memories and photographed many of the iconic spots of the city.
We took in a local music show at The Savannah Theatre, ate amazing food, and enjoyed different flavors of honey tasting. Savannah really offers a lot of different activities, places to go and things to see. If you go at certain times of the year you can even catch some festivals and special events.
